Get Moving on I-26
It is time to GET MOVING ON I-26!
The Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce has made a commitment to facilitate the completion of this critical transportation project.
The I-26 Connector Project was first included in the NCDOT’s Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) in the 1980’s. Three decades later, the I-26 Connector remains uncompleted and now has one of the highest accident rates in North Carolina.
It is time to let the NCDOT know that Western North Carolina wants the NCDOT to Get Moving ON I-26.
The NCDOT is currently taking comments from stakeholders until December 16, 2015. Please, take a moment to contact the DOT and tell them to Get Moving on I-26. You can do this in several ways:
- Through email to Drew Joyner at firstname.lastname@example.org (make sure to mark I-26 in the subject line)
- Through the US Postal Service. You can download a sample letter, print, sign, and mail to:
