FREE Networking Event TONIGHT!

As a part of National Small Business Week, Bank of America is sponsoring The Small Business Recognition Reception & Table Top Display networking event. In addition to a great FREE networking opportunity, you can showcase your business with a table top display for only $25.  Only a few tables remain so make your reservation quickly.  The Small Business Leader of the Year and ATHENA Award nominees will be announced during the reception.

This FREE networking event will take place April 22, 5:30 – 7 p.m., in the beautiful new Chamber of Commerce atrium and will feature complimentary beer and wine.  Hors d’ oeuvres will be provided by Laurey's Catering.  The event format will be similar to Business After Hours and there is no

need to register.

Join us for the Chamber's annual Legislative Luncheon, presented by Capital Bank, to be held at the Crest Center and Pavilion Thursday, April 24 from Noon until 1:30 p.m.  Western North Carolina’s legislative delegation will be discussing key issues slated for the 2008 session of the General Assembly. 

Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss critical issues with the region’s legislative delegation and will receive a copy of the Chamber's 2008 Legislative Agenda.

Register Online for the 2008 Chamber Challenge 5K

Registration is going on right now and has never been easier! Our new online registration is a one-stop interactive service that is a breeze to use. Click on the Chamber Challenge logo on the Asheville Chamber home page to register.

The Chamber Challenge is a team-based 5k designed to promote community wellness through friendly competition between businesses. The race will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 6th at the Chamber of Commerce and wind through the beautiful historic Montford neighborhood.

Teams of 4 males, 4 females, or 2 males and 2 females are $100.00 each. Individual runners are $35.00 each. REGISTER NOW because after May 23rd, team prices increase to $120.00 and individual prices increase to $40.00.

Walk This Way!

Every Wednesday at 5:30 the Asheville Chamber is sponsoring a Chamber Challenge practice run/walk led by Andrea Lensce of Mission Hospitals. The practice run is open to everyone at all skill levels. It covers the actual Chamber Challenge 5k course winding through the beautiful historic Montford neighborhood.
