Annual Meeting of the Economic Development Coalition

Mega Networking set for August 8

Mega Networking is a bi-annual event that gives Chamber members an opportunity to meet prime business contacts in a unique and entertaining format. Mega Networking is Friday August 8, from 7:30 a.m. - noon at Coleman Place in the Chamber building.  Space is limited to one person per company and five attendees per business category.  For more information or to register contact Laura Wolf at (828) 232-2247.

Two advertising opportunities for Asheville based businesses

 Local businesses looking to showcase their offerings to visitors and new residents of Asheville can sign up to advertise in either the Official Asheville Visitor Guide or the Chamber sponsored relocation magazine Asheville.  

The Official Asheville Visitor Guide is used by the Asheville Convention & Visitors Bureau to provide information to hundreds of thousands of future Asheville visitors.  In addition to the print version, an interactive virtual version will be placed on Asheville’s expanded interactive official tourism Web site, www.exploreasheville.com. Third Annual Elected Officials Reception

Chamber members will have a great opportunity to meet and network with public and private leaders from throughout our region on August 21 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Chamber during the Third Annual Elected Officials Reception. The American Cancer Society has partnered with Asheville’s Fun Depot this summer to “FUN”D A CURE! Bring your family in to Asheville’s Fun Depot on Monday, August 4 between 5 - 8 p.m.  All guests who mention “FUN”D A CURE will receive two hours of fun for just $15 (regularly $24.99). Each card sold raises $5 for the American Cancer Society for cancer research, education and local programs and services. Grab a bite at the Depot Diner and 10% of your bill will also be donated to the American Cancer Society.
