Asheville 5x5 is a five-year economic development initiative of the Chamber and the Economic Development Coalition of Asheville-Buncombe County. Read on to learn more about the Chamber's efforts to grow 5,000 new jobs in the region.

Asheville, NC – The 6thAnnual Homecoming Job Fair will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Biltmore Square Mall in Asheville. Registration for the fair continues through December 27, with 80 employers and job seeker resources slated to attend. The job fair will showcase regional employment opportunities in growth industries throughout Western North Carolina, including advanced manufacturing, financial services, health services, and hospitality. Job seekers who participate in the 2011 Homecoming Job Fair will have the benefit of a one-stop opportunity to meet directly with representatives from many premier organizations in the region that are currently hiring or anticipate hiring in 2012. As an added benefit, this year’s job fair will also include seminars and resume reviews for area job seekers. The employers and resources participating in the event include the following firms:
