In conjunction with the Economic Development Coalition for Asheville-Buncombe County, Locus Technologies, the industry leader in web-based water, energy, and environmental information management software, announced today that it has established branch operations in Asheville’s Biltmore Park. Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Locus’s Asheville branch joins other east coast facilities in Boston, Pittsburgh, Miami, and Jacksonville, FL.

Over the past decade, HomeGauge has grown from a single employee to over 10, with its industry-leading home inspection software and internet tools serving home inspectors and real estate professionals in all 50 states and Canada.

Formerly Ontario-based Auralites Inc. announced its recent relocation to the U.S. with the establishment of a state-of-the-art injection molding facility in Fletcher. Buncombe County is now home to the firm’s corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility, where Auralites has already begun production. Founded in 2002, Auralites is a wholesale manufacturer of specialty polymer consumer products with a worldwide customer base.

In conjunction with the Economic Development Coalition for Asheville-Buncombe County (EDC), Mills Manufacturing Corporation today announced plans to create 30 full-time positions in production, assembly and inspection.  The firm was recently awarded a contract with the US Army for the manufacture of 2,750 G-12E Cargo Parachute Assemblies.

The 5th Annual Homecoming Job Fair will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Biltmore Square Mall in Asheville.  Registration for the fair ended Friday, December 17, with 81 employers and job seeker resources slated to attend.
