Residential and Commerical Building Expands Opportunities

Construction sector jobs in the Asheville area rose 14% 2013-2015. Notable projects include:
- The City of Asheville's designated innovation districts: Charlotte Street Corridor, River Arts District, South Slope, and Central Business District.
- The new $400M, 12-story Mission Hospital tower.
- A-B Technical Community College's Ferguson Center with 18 Allied Health programs in the new 169,543 square foot building.
Recent expansions include Avadim Technologies with plans to add 551 new jobs and build a 100,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Black Mountain Commerce Park, as well as Baldor Electric with $4.2M investment in facilities and equipment in Weaverville.
