2010 China Trip Informational Meeting

The Chamber is announcing a special opportunity for business and recreation with a trip to China from April 6 - 14, 2010. The trip will allow local business leaders to make key connections in China and explore the Chinese culture at an attractive price. The trip is open to the community with a special discounted rate for Asheville Chamber members. Anyone interested in the trip should plan on attending an informational meeting September 3, from 5:30 - 7 p.m. at the Asheville Merchants Corporation Boardroom in the Chamber building. Meet the Success Story: A Panel Discussion

If you want to know how other small businesses “made it” in Asheville, this FREE seminar is for you! Learn tips, principles – many things about becoming a successful business in Asheville. You will hear from a diverse group of successful business owners as they share their ideas and practices. The panel will feature:

This program is being offered at no charge thanks to the generosity of Trout Insurance Services which celebrated its 20th anniversary by raising funds for Manna Food Bank, Mountain BizWorks, and the Chamber. David Trout has been an active chamber member and ambassador for a number of years and we continue to appreciate his hard work and support!. A Special Invitation to FLS Open House
The Economic Development Coalition and FLS Energy invite you to attend a special open house event at its new 12,000 square foot home on Amboy Road in the River District. The gathering will be held Wednesday, September 16th at 4 p.m. at 239 Amboy Road, Asheville. Immediately following a brief ceremony, guests are invited to enjoy refreshments and hors d'oeuvres while taking an introductory tour of the new facility. FLS Energy and First Light Solar staff will be on-hand to speak with those interested in learning more about reducing utility bills and improving the quality of our air through solar technology. Is your Business Headed Sky High?

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2009 Sky High Growth Awards presented by Advanced Business Equipment in conjunction with the Advocates for Small Business.  The Sky High Growth Awards is an annual event recognizing the area's fastest growing small businesses for their outstanding achievements and contributions to our region's economy. The event is the October Business After Hours on October 29 at the North Carolina Arboretum but nominations are being accepted now.  Learn more about the awards, the event, and nominations by visiting the event website.

Lighten Up 4 Life Begins Today!
