Introduction to Digital Workflow Seminar [FREE]
Date: Tuesday, February 28th 2012
Time: 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Description:
SEMINAR DESCRIPTION: Are you new to the wonderful world of digital photography? Are you confused about what to do with all of those digital files that you are accumulating on your memory card, and are afraid to transfer them over to your computer? And, once you do get them on your computer, then what?
Perhaps you've been at things for a while now and you have created hundreds, if not thousands, of digital image files, but your file and folder organization on your cmputer leaves a lot to be desired. And, you're probably spending more time behind the computer than you are out creating more photos.
In other words, your digital "production line" is inefficient and lacks consistency. Of equal concern, years into the future, how are you ever going to find a specific image that you have stored on your hard drive or on some other media?
There is an easier way, and it's called "digital workflow". And, your goal should be to make your workflow as efficient and effective as possible, such that you can spend more time shooting and less time staring into a computer monitor.
This single-evening seminar lays out the essentials for getting yourself organized in the digital world, and sets the ground-work for advancing your digital efforts (e.g., into digital editing). First things first -- you must be organized! And, the sooner you get a handle on this, the better. Why wait until you have a massive collection of images before you start thinking about how to organize them and protect them?

Defining "digital workflow"
Establishing a digital workflow strategy and process
