Small Business Healthcare Roundtable
Date: Friday, March 9th 2012
Time: 12:30pm to 1:30pm
Description:
Please register for this FREE event. Controlling the increasing costs of health insurance premiums is a top concern for small businesses, but the new Health Insurance Tax (HIT), included in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), will raise the cost of small business health insurance premiums. This tax will be almost entirely passed on to consumers in the fully insured marketplace and will raise insurance costs for already struggling small businesses – contrary to the goals of health care reform. The Stop The HIT Coalition represents the nation’s small business owners, their employees and the self-employed who are actively working to repeal the Health Insurance Tax (HIT). Stop The HIT Coalition is engaging members of the small business community, policymakers and other key stakeholders in a grassroots campaign to highlight the significant harm caused by this tax, all the while promoting repeal measures that will Stop The HIT before it takes effect in 2014. Take part in our roundtable on March 9 and add your voice to the coalition.
