Woman Executive of the Year Award Nomination Form

Sponsored by Mission Health, this award recognizes a woman who has distinguished herself in her workplace, her profession, and her community. The recipient epitomizes the spirit of the WomanUP initiative by utilizing her abilities to develop or improve a program or service that significantly advances women in the corporate workplace.

The candidate's company must be an Asheville Chamber member based in, founded in or with a significant presence in Buncombe County. Candidates in leadership at any level of an organization may be nominated.

Winner is chosen by the WomanUP volunteer committee, comprised of representatives from small business to large corporations, based on the merit of the application and quality of supporting documentation. Winner will be honored at the WomanUP Celebration in November.

For example, over time she has excelled by obtaining successively more responsible positions throughout her career, or she has demonstrated exceptional job performance by creating significant benefit to her company beyond what is normally expected. She has demonstrated her ability to improve services or conditions for women within her organization, or influence policy or programming at her company that advances professional women in the workplace.

The candidate will have demonstrated a willingness to serve and assist other women in their personal and professional development, and will have contributed to the success of others.

She will have demonstrated exceptional personal commitment to civic endeavors outside of her professional obligations.
