For more than 50 years, Climate Systems LLC has been delivering expert mechanical HVAC services across North Carolina. With offices in Asheville, Charlotte, and Winston-Salem, the company is known for its custom-designed maintenance programs, full-scale installations, and consulting expertise. Their Asheville office continues to expand, offering a hands-on, local approach backed by the strength of a seasoned, statewide team.
At its core, Climate Systems is about partnership – taking a consultative approach to understand each client’s needs and offer tailored solutions that go beyond the basics. With a dedicated team of experienced technicians, engineers, pipefitters, and sheet metal professionals, they’re equipped to handle everything from simple fixes to complex system installations. And in Asheville, those relationships often span decades, serving the same clients with consistency, quality, and care.
Tell us about your business and the role you play in it.
Founded in 1971, Climate Systems LLC is a full-service mechanical HVAC company that specializes in both service and project work. We offer custom preventive maintenance programs to keep mechanical systems running efficiently and help minimize emergency repairs.
We also design and build complete systems, including full HVAC installations. Our approach is consultative – we listen, understand your needs, and craft comprehensive solutions that position us as a trusted partner, not just a contractor.
What makes your business unique in its field?
Our strength lies in the depth of experience on our team. Our service and project teams can handle everything from the simplest systems to the most complex, including steam, hot water, and chilled water systems.
We’re a one-stop shop, with engineers, a full sheet metal division, and a skilled pipe fitting team, which means no job is too big or too specialized for us to handle in-house.
How many employees do you have? What qualities do you look for when hiring?
We have about 125 employees spread across our offices in Asheville, Charlotte, and Winston-Salem.
The first quality we look for is integrity. Beyond that, we value a strong work ethic, mechanical skill, and a positive, team-oriented attitude that fits our company culture, serving both our internal and external clients with respect and excellence.
Where do you see your business in the next year? The next five?
We’re seeing strong growth in the Asheville office, and we expect to continue expanding both our preventive service programs and project team in this area.
Over the next five years, we anticipate building a larger presence across Western North Carolina, delivering the same level of trusted, top-tier service we’ve been known for statewide.
Why did you decide to join the Chamber?
We joined the Asheville Chamber because we believe in being an active, trusted member of the community. It’s a way to connect, collaborate, and show our commitment to supporting local businesses.
What’s your favorite part about doing business in Asheville?
Definitely the people. Asheville is a place where relationships matter. Several of our team members were born and raised here, and in many cases, we’ve had longstanding client relationships that span over 20 years.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
We love what we do and are excited about partnering with other Asheville businesses. Whether it’s preventive maintenance or complex HVAC installations, we’re here to bring expertise, dependability, and real value to every job.
