Tell us about your business and the role you play in it.
Embark Dental takes on a refreshing, modern, and elevated approach to dentistry. The practice is full service with a particular focus on (but not limited to) cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Marc Gonzalez, a Charlotte NC native, has always dreamed of owning his own practice, as he was inspired by the dentists and teachers in his own life. After many obstacles, a colleague and friend offered him a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to come to the beautiful city of Asheville.
How did you get your idea or concept for the business? How did you decide on a name?
The word “embark” itself means “to begin a journey,” which the dental practice truly embodies. The journey from opening its doors to seeing the first patient has been rewarding for all involved. The modern aesthetic has always been captivating to Dr. Gonzalez. It provides a clean, detailed feel, which reflects his work in dentistry.
What makes your business unique in its field?
Embark Dental takes pride in bringing the latest advancements in dentistry. Whether it’s clear aligners, veneers, ceramic implants, or teeth whitening, there’s something for everybody. Additionally, the Embark Dental team is dedicated to continuous growth and learning in the field. You can guarantee you’re in good hands, as individual-focused care remains top priority.
Where do you see your business in the next year? The next five?
Embark Dental’s vision is to become and remain a leader in excellent, high-quality dental care in Asheville for many years to come. The practice will be a dental home for patients who prioritize and understand the importance of their own oral and overall health.
Why did you decide to join the Chamber?
The Chamber of Commerce has allowed Embark Dental to involve itself with the Asheville community. Dr Gonzalez believes in the power of organized communities. As part of a continued effort to help strengthen Asheville, Embark Dental makes regular donations to three charities of Dr Gonzalez’s choice: Asheville Humane Society, Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, and Asheville Latin Americans Achieving Success (ALAS).
