Hollywood Feed is committed to you and your pets

December 20, 2023

Under the guidance of its current owners, Hollywood Feed, the holistic pet food and supply company, has experienced remarkable growth. Originating from just a few local stores, the company has now established a formidable presence across 19 states. This expansion has been driven by strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and an unwavering commitment to the brand promise: if your pet doesn’t love it or if you don’t love it, Hollywood Feed will gladly replace or refund it.

“While we do treat our customers and their pets like stars, we are not named for the glitz and glam of Hollywood. Rather, we opened our first store in the 1950’s on the corner of Hollywood Street and Chelsea Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee.”

More than seven decades later, Hollywood Feed stands tall for its unwavering commitment to pets, their owners, caretakers, and the communities it serves.

“I am the Creative Manager for Hollywood Feed, a pet food and supply retailer offering natural and holistic food and treats, Same Day Delivery Service, Curbside Pickup, Autoship, and in-store shopping via our 170+ stores across 19 states. We proudly stand by our brand promise: If your pet doesn’t love it or if you don’t love it, we will gladly replace or refund it. Where did your career find its start? How did you get involved with your company?

“I have been at Hollywood Feed since shortly after I graduated from college at the University of Central Arkansas in 2009. I began my career here as a manager and went on to become a marketing analyst and then a marketing content coordinator prior to my current role of creative manager. Among the things I love about my job are our “pack” of team members I get to work with and the fact that every day is ‘bring your dog to work day’ ☺!”

How has your company grown over the years?

“When our current owners took over the brand in the early 2000’s, we had only a few local stores. Today, via strategic growth, expansion and acquisition, Hollywood Feed now serves pets, their owners, caretakers and communities in more than 170 stores across 19 states.”

What’s a little-known fact or trivia about your business?

“While we do treat our customers and their pets like stars, we are not named for the glitz and glam of Hollywood. Rather, we opened our first store in the 1950’s on the corner of Hollywood Street and Chelsea Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee. 70+ years later, we are still going strong!”

How has your/your company’s idea of success transformed?

“In an industry largely focused solely on product sales, we have defined success by focusing on community support, education and sustainability.

  • Community support: We support hundreds of rescue partners in the markets we serve. We also sponsor dozens of dog parks and donate more than 100,000 pounds of pet food and countless other supplies to homeless pets, rescues and shelters annually.
  • Education: We launched Hollywood Feed University, a free online education platform taught by pet experts ranging from veterinarians and pet behavioralists to food and product manufacturers. Both our customers and our team members can participate in this valuable resource. Each of our team members receives 40+ hours of continuing education each year to better serve our valued customers and their furry family members.
  • Sustainability, locally sourced and AmericanMade products: We created our own line of American-Made items including Mississippi-Made dog beds, collars, leashes and accessories (sustainably made using scraps from the dog bed manufacturing process), Georgia-Made jerky, Hollywood Feed pet odor cleaning products and more!”
