How IS Technology is Powering Business Forward

August 13, 2025

When Davide Zanchi took the reins at IS Technology, Hurricane Helene had just knocked out power across the region. It was a chaotic first day, but also a moment of clarity. Davide saw firsthand how essential reliable technology is for business survival and growth. From that pivotal moment, he’s led IS Technology with a mission to deliver not just IT support, but full-spectrum solutions that empower local businesses to thrive.

Rooted in Western North Carolina, IS Technology has grown from a regional provider into a trusted technology partner serving clients across six states—all while keeping its heart and headquarters local. From advanced cybersecurity to AI and office equipment, their approach is grounded in speed, reliability, and personal connection.

Check out our conversation with Davide below…

Where did your vision begin? How has it grown?

My vision began the day Hurricane Helene hit. I had just stepped in as CEO, and everything was down—power, phones, networks. It was a wake-up call. Technology isn’t just a tool; it’s a lifeline. I knew I didn’t want IS Technology to be just another vendor, I wanted us to be a trusted partner, especially in crisis.

Since then, we’ve expanded our services dramatically. We now offer advanced IT, cybersecurity, AI integration, and cloud-based solutions – all under one roof. But at our core, we’ve kept the same belief: local businesses deserve world-class technology, delivered with speed, heart, and purpose.

What made you choose the Asheville area?

I was drawn to Asheville for more than the mountains. I saw a business community that was innovative, values-driven, and deeply connected. After taking over IS Technology during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, I witnessed the community’s resilience firsthand—it confirmed I was in the right place. This is a region where businesses care about each other and about doing good work, and that aligns perfectly with our culture.

Who are your key partners?

While we serve clients across six states, our most meaningful partnerships are right here in Western North Carolina. We work closely with the Chamber, our vendor network, and most importantly, our clients. Whether we’re helping a law office stay secure or rebuilding systems after a cyberattack, we show up fully. That’s what partnership means to us.

What has been your greatest challenge? Your greatest victory?

My first day on the job, post-Hurricane Helene, was also our biggest test. Businesses were down, our systems were stressed, and our future felt uncertain. But we rose to the challenge. We earned trust, fixed what was broken, and built something stronger. Today, we boast a 97.7% first-contact resolution rate and support clients across six states. Our greatest challenge truly became our greatest victory.

What’s a little-known fact about your business?

For more than a decade, we’ve supported AdventHealth, one of the largest nonprofit healthcare systems in the U.S., across their hospitals and clinics. From secure IT to reliable printing in life-saving environments, we’ve delivered with excellence. While we have national reach, our heart stays local.

What advice would you give someone starting in your field?

Your background is your superpower. I came from Italy with a dream, shaped it at Stanford, and brought it to life in Western North Carolina. But it’s not about being the smartest—it’s about building the right team. At IS Technology, I’m lucky to lead a group of incredible professionals like Sharyne, Pam, Stephen, and Joey. If you’re just starting: be bold, build well, and let your work speak louder than your fear.

What does “community” mean to you?

Community is the “why” behind everything we do. It’s in the late-night tech support, the unprompted business referrals, the team members stepping up for one another. It’s shared goals, mutual support, and the belief that when one of us grows, we all move forward. That’s the spirit we operate in every day.

Anything else you’d like to share?

Technology can be overwhelming – especially when businesses are juggling multiple vendors for IT, cybersecurity, cloud systems, printers, and more. At IS Technology, we make it simple. We offer everything under one roof, with one point of contact, and a deep commitment to your business’s success. We’re here to help you work smarter and grow safer—with the technology your business deserves.
