Chamber requests applications for Impact Award

Asheville, NC (May 31, 2012) – The Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce invites businesses to submit applications for the 2012 Impact Award.

The Impact Award recognizes a fast growth business that has significantly impacted economic development in the Asheville area.

In order to be considered for this award, a business must:

1. Be a chamber member who has been in this business for at least three years.

2. Demonstrate annual revenue of at least $1M in the most recent fiscal year.

The Impact Award recognizes a fast growth business that has significantly impacted economic development in the Asheville area.

In order to be considered for this award, a business must:

1. Be a chamber member who has been in this business for at least three years.

2. Demonstrate annual revenue of at least $1M in the most recent fiscal year.

3. Have increased workforce and/or revenue by at least 20% during the most recent fiscal years.

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee consisting of representatives from the Advocates for Small Business, and the Impact Award winner will be recognized at the Chamber's Annual Meeting on June 21st at the U.S. Cellular Center.

The Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce is a member organization with over 1,800 member businesses and organizations. Chamber members collaborate with community organizations and coalitions to support the community and each other with the mission of building community through business. The Chamber is home to a 4,000 square foot Visitor Center which welcomes over 195,000 visitors per year.
