Sineath Construction is committed to its clients

April 13, 2022

Brian Sineath, president and general contractor of Sineath Construction, has become familiar with evolving his custom home building business.

Sineath and his father began the business in Burnsville in 2008, primarily focusing on remodeling and light commercial work. Today, the business has expanded, found a new home base in Weaverville and is centered around custom building.

One thing that hasn’t changed over the years? Sineath’s commitment to clients.

“Our vision for Sineath Construction grew and changed in some ways,” Sineath says. “We don’t necessarily want to be the biggest builder, but we do want to give our clients quality, excellence, and value in every facet of the construction process. We always want to maintain a personal approach to all our projects.”

Tell us about your business and the role you play in it.

Sineath Construction is a family-owned custom home and commercial builder and remodeler. I am the president of the company as well as the general contractor. Sineath Construction was founded in 2008 and was originally based in Burnsville.

Where did your career find its start? How did you get involved with your company?

I am a third-generation builder, and my love for building started in high school when I became a carpenter’s helper. I worked as a carpenter throughout college, and after graduating from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in industrial technology, construction, I took a job with a large, corporate, production builder. My father, who was also a builder, wanted to form a family business where we could work together. At the same time, my wife and I had been moving from city to city for my job, and we were ready to settle down. That’s when my father and I decided to form Sineath Construction.

How has your company grown over the years?

We began in 2008, which was a challenging time from a market perspective.  The early years of our business revolved around remodeling and light commercial work.  As the market started to rebound, we focused more on custom home building to grow that side of our business. Today, our business is centered around custom home building, and we maintain a healthy presence in commercial construction and remodeling.

Was there ever a time you felt like you had to completely start over?

My father passed unexpectedly in 2012. His passing led to a new start, of sorts, for us.  We moved our office from Burnsville to its current location in Weaverville and restructured our staff. Our vision for Sineath Construction grew and changed in some ways. The company has grown significantly since this move, and we are active in Madison, Yancey, and Buncombe counties.  We don’t necessarily want to be the biggest builder, but we do want to give our clients quality, excellence, and value in every facet of the construction process. We always want to maintain a personal approach to all our projects.

What is most important to you/your company now? What do you see as your company’s legacy?

What’s most important to us is that we provide a finished product that leaves our clients 100% certain they chose the right builder. Fulfilling people’s dreams for their home is extremely satisfying. We also want to create a workplace in which our employees thrive and grow together as a team to accomplish our goals. We foster growth among our employees through training and other opportunities and want them to be successful. We also love being a part of the small town of Weaverville where we support our local schools and youth sports teams.

What’s on the horizon?

Our goal for the future is to continue to grow in a healthy, sustainable way that allows us to accomplish our goals for our clients, our employees, and our company. We want to continue to give back to our community and find new ways to be involved in this amazing place we live and work in.
