On Thursday, September 20th, from 6pm-9pm, the Asheville Mountain Area Chapter of the American Red Cross will be holding a new volunteer orientation for persons interested in learning more about becoming Red Cross Disaster Volunteers. This three hour overview will provide participants with an overview of the Red Cross mission and programs, roles and responsibilities, and provide the attendees with information on how they can become involved as Red Cross responders locally, regionally, and nationally when disaster strikes. Asheville Mountain Area Chapter of American Red Cross is located at 100 Edgewood Road in Asheville. The training will take place in Room 214.
