  • The North Carolina Stage Company has announced their 20th Season! This season includes six plays that illuminate our shared human experience in the form of comedies, dramas, and a world premiere. Running from September 7, 2022 through June 4, 2023 at 15 Stage Lane in downtown Asheville. Season Passes are on sale now at ncstage.org! Single tickets will go on sale August 8.   • The Asheville Area Arts Council has announced the inaugural Arts AVL Town Hall Series! This series will allow arts advocates to mingle and learn where candidates stand on important issues impacting the local creative sector. State Candidates will be on September 7, County Candidates on September 28, and City Council candidates on October 12. Learn more about the series. Sponsorship opportunities are available! Hire:

  • AdventHealth has welcomed Laura Long, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, to its team at AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Forge Mountain. Long provides patients with compassionate, quality care in a welcoming environment. She will be assisting Robert L. Smith, MD in providing whole-person care to our community. Since 2007, Long has served as a registered nurse in multiple units, such as the Telemetry Unit, and the Pulmonary Medical Surgical and Stepdown Units. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Boise State University in Boise, ID and went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Nursing from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN.
