“Parenting with Identity in Mind”

featuring Rosetta Lee

For adult audiences.

How do we learn about our various group identities like female, African American, Buddhist, homosexual, middle class, etc.? From whom do we learn the meaning of these terms? What messages have we internalized about ourselves and others? What are the differences that result in one person having a healthy self-identity and another person experiencing own-group shame and hatred? Learn how we can instill positive self-identity in our children and coach them to be positive influences on others’ identities.

Carolina Day School invites WNC parents and educators to a free community forum addressing these questions and more called, “Parenting with Identity in Mind,” on October 5. The forum features nationally known professional diversity trainer and speaker Rosetta Lee.

There is no cost to attend; however, seating is limited. Reserve your seat online at CarolinaDay.org/RosettaLee.

DATE: Thursday, October 5, 2017, from 7-8:30 p.m.

LOCATION: Carolina Day School, 1345 Hendersonville Rd., Asheville, NC 28803 (Event will be held in Oreck Library)
