As much as we were looking forward to gathering with our members for the 2024 Chamber Family Get-Down by the River this Thursday, the safety of our community comes first. With Helene putting us under a Tropical Storm Watch and the severe weather predicted, we’ve decided to reschedule the event.
But don’t worry—we’re not canceling the fun! We’ve moved the event to Tuesday, October 29th, from 4-7 p.m. at Salvage Station. By then, we’ll be past hurricane season and able to enjoy the wonderful fall weather in Asheville—perfect for an outdoor, family-friendly gathering.
We’ve got a lot planned for this special celebration, including food, drinks, live music, games, and activities for all ages. Plus, we’ll continue celebrating the Chamber’s 125th anniversary by highlighting the incredible work of our local nonprofits. The thirteen organizations that received $10,000 grants at last year’s celebration will join us to share how they’ve used the funds and to seek your vote for an additional $5,000 grant, made possible by our Presenting Sponsor, Bank of America. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support our community while having a great time.
We’re grateful for your understanding and flexibility as we navigate this unpredictable weather. Safety is our top priority, and we look forward to seeing you in October for a fantastic event. In the meantime, be sure to check out our calendar for other great events happening this month.
Stay safe, and we’ll see you soon!
