Dr. Sukhbir “Sonny” Guram joins Southeastern Sports

Pardee UNC Health Care announced today that Sukhbir “Sonny” Guram, M.D., a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon, has joined Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, a department of Pardee, effective Monday, April 17. He will see patients at the following Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics locations: Hendersonville (Thompson Street), Arden (Mission Pardee Health Campus), Asheville (Turtle Creek) and Waynesville.


Dr. Guram earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He then completed an orthopedic surgery internship and residency at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, followed by an orthopedic spine surgery fellowship at the Boston Spine Group in Massachusetts.

Dr. Guram specializes in treating the cervical and lumbar spine, particularly spinal stenosis, radiculopathy (pinched nerve) and degenerative disk disease, using lumbar laminectomy as well as cervical and lumbar fusion. He takes a balanced approach to treating spine conditions and injuries, including patient education with nonoperative management when possible and surgical options if necessary.
