Orchard at Altapass wins blue Ridge Country Award

July 3, 2013

The Orchard at Altapass was voted Platinum Best Orchard or Pick Your Own Farm by the readers of Blue Ridge Countrymagazine in the 2013 Best of the Mountains poll.

“Our readers voted in record numbers this year,” said Blue Ridge Country Editor in Chief Kurt Rheinheimer. Readers submitted their votes online over a two-month period, producing a list of almost 250 platinum, gold, and silver awards for cities, attractions, people, and activities in the Blue Ridge Mountain region.

“We are thrilled to have won the Platinum award,” stated Altapass Foundation Executive Director Michele Williams. “There are many, many orchards and pick-your-own farms in the region, and we want to thank all our loyal supporters for ranking us at the top.”

Blue Ridge Country is an award-winning bi-monthly regional magazine with a readership of 325,000.
