Small Business of the Month
We are pleased to recognize Inspire Personal Fitness as Small Business of the Month.

Inspire Personal Fitness was founded by Keith Wimsett with a desire to bring personalized support to fitness. Inspire Personal Fitness is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, but it hasn’t always been easy.
“I opened [the business] in October 2006,” Keith says. “I spent the next 8 years trying and failing, trying and failing until one day I realized that while I was a really good personal trainer, I didn’t know the first thing about running a business. So, I spent the next 2 years learning everything I could about not just the gym business but business as a whole.”
After much research, Keith decided to rebrand the business and in 2015 Inspire Personal Fitness was born.
“I chose this name because it represented what I felt was missing in the fitness industry – accountability, support and of course, inspiration.”
Keith is proud of the community they’ve grown through Inspire Personal Fitness, noting that the members and coaches feel like a part of his extended family.
“Building a strong community in the gym is the most important thing to my business,” he says. “Being more involved in the community outside of the gym is where my passion lies. I want to improve as many people’s lives as I can, and I can only accomplish that through strong community ties.”
Keith and his team strive to double their membership in the next year while also dedicating more time to “giving back to this wonderful community we call home.”
“I am also launching a new area of Inspire Personal Fitness – Inspire Nutrition. What you eat can be up to 80% of the fitness equation, and we will now have a program to handle that.”
Keith also offers his favorite quote: “‘Competition is brutal. Being exceptional is the greatest differentiator.’ I plan on living that to the fullest in 2017 and beyond.”
