The Van Winkle Law Firm announced today that attorneys Rob Mays and Jenny Boyer have been named to Biltmore Beacon’s 40 Under Forty list. Mays is a partner with the Firm’s Creditors’ Rights and Litigation practices and has been with the firm since 2010. Boyer is a member of the Firm’s Trust and Estates practice group and joined Van Winkle in 2016. Mays received both a master’s degree in public policy and law degree from Duke University. He focuses his practice on contested collection matters and bankruptcies and has recovered millions of dollars for local and regional lenders, contractors, and construction suppliers. He has litigated a variety of matters in state and federal courts, and successfully argued a case before the North Carolina Supreme Court earlier this year. Rob and his wife Katie were named “Parent Champions” by the Asheville City Schools Foundation in 2015.
Boyer earned a bachelor’s degree in history and peace, war & defense from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. After practicing in Charlotte, NC she relocated to Asheville in 2016 to focus her practice on trust and estate planning and estate administration. She serves as a member of Pisgah Legal Services’ Young Professionals Board, Pisgah Legal Services’ Development Council, and as a United Way Highlands Circle member.
