Congratulations to Four Seasons, for being awarded a two-year telehealth grand from the Agency of Healthcare Research and Quality. The grant will enable Four Seasons to evaluate the impact on patients and providers of integrating a virtual pharmacist into a telehealth model when caring for people with serious illness in rural western North Carolina.

  • Homecoming Retreat is coming to Asheville, NC on December 6th, 2019. This weekend workshop is bringing together top scientists, holistic healers, advocates and thought leaders in the field of addiction recovery to share the most effective treatments available for families with loved ones suffering. Speakers at this retreat will include Teresa Descilo founder of the International Trauma Resolution & Resiliency Center; author, counselor and attorney David Bedrick; Dr. Michael Trayford, founder of APEX Brain Centers, and many more impressive facilitators. Topics covered will be: transforming shame, the neuroscience of addiction (Dr. Trayford), communication for a loving home, developmental trauma, epigenetics, life after treatment, shamanic paths to healing complex trauma and addiction and more. The event is also being widely endorsed by the many treatment centers and independent counselors that reside in Asheville, NC.
  • Four Seasons, a nationally recognized innovator in hospice and palliative care, has been awarded a two-year telehealth grant from the Agency of Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). This grant will enable Four Seasons to evaluate the impact on patients and providers of integrating a virtual pharmacist into a telehealth model when caring for people with serious illness in rural western North Carolina.

Events:

  • The Wortham Center for the Performing Arts hosts Welcome Day at the Wortham, a community open house filled with free family fun, including a movie screening, kids’ activities, a raffle, music, yoga, games, crafts and a free concert from the U.S. Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors. Saturday, October 19, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m at the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts, 18 Biltmore Ave., Asheville.   • Pardee UNC Health Care will host a job fair on Friday, October 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the First Citizens community room located on the corner of 6th Avenue and Main Street in Hendersonville. Pardee will have representatives available to talk with candidates about open positions and hold onsite interviews.

  • Hot Works 4th Asheville Fine Art Show presented by HotWorks.org takes place October 26 & 27 outdoors at Pack Square Park, downtown Asheville. Up to 130 quality juried fine art and fine craft artists will be selling his/her art to the public – there is something for everyone, in all price ranges. All art is original and personally handmade by the artist who is present at the art show. You will see many artists at this show who do not participate in other North or South Carolina show.
  • Four Seasons will host a free community event titled “When Words Fail: Creative Arts to Support Grieving” on Tuesday, November 19 from 4 – 5:30 p.m. at the North Asheville Library on Merrimon Avenue.
