This Week’s Business Buzz: 10/4/19

October 10, 2019

Congratulations to owner and executive Chef Steve Goff of Aux Bar for his recent win at the NC Restaurant & Lodging Association Chef Showdown!

Announcement

  • The Pardee UNC Health Care announced today a new program, the Breast Multidisciplinary Clinic at the Pardee Cancer Center. The Breast Multidisciplinary Clinic gives patients who have been diagnosed with breast cancer the opportunity to meet with multiple breast cancer specialists in one half-day visit. Patients will separately meet with Western North Carolina’s only female fellowship-trained breast surgeon, a radiation oncologist and a medical oncologist in the same exam room throughout their morning appointment. This allows patients to complete all of their treatment consultations in one visit, rather than having to attend multiple appointments over several days.
  • Aux Bar owner and executive Chef Steve Goff took home the win for his coffee braised beef cheek at the NC Restaurant & Lodging Association Chef Showdown. Judges called the dish “sexy perfection.” We are thrilled to see this kind of recognition for someone with amazing talent and such a big heart!

Events

  • Uniting distinguished choreographers with an outstanding company of world-class dancers, BalletX bounds to downtown Asheville’s Wortham Center for the Performing Arts for two nights of inspiring performances, Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12 at 8 p.m.
