Congratulations to Lindsey Philon, BSN., RN. of Adventhealth for receiving the DAISY award for exceptional care of her patients! 

Achievement 

  • Lindsey Philon, BSN., RN. of AdventHealth has been awarded the DAISY award, an honor created by The DAISY Foundation to honor nurses who provide exceptional care to families. The DAISY award was created by the family of the J. Patrick Barnes to thank the nurses who cared fo rPatrick as he battled an autoimmune disease. 
  • According to a recent survey conducted by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the rate of nonfatal workplace injury and injury within the private sector remains at a historic low for 2018. North Carolina is one of 12 states (also including the District of Columbia) with rates below the national average of 2.8 cases per 100 full time workers. This is an important factor for a state like North Carolina that has experienced significant growth in recent years. 

Hire 

  • Stephanie B. Whitney has unanimously selected by Carolina Day School as the school’s next Head of School. Ms. Whitney is currently Head of School at The Mead School in Stamford, Connecticut, an independent school for infants through eighth grade. Before joining Mead in 2015, she spent 11 years as Assistant Head of School at Greens Farms Academy, a pre-k/12 independent college preparatory school in Westport, Connecticut. Ms. Whitney will assume her position in July 2020. 
  • Megan Hembree Morlok recently joined HomeTrust Bank as an Assistant Vice President, Marketing Manager. She is responsible for building marketing campaigns to increase customer awareness and brand engagement. Ms. Morlok previously worked in global marketing at Thermo Fisher Scientific and as the Director of Client Services at Market Connections.
