We invite members to submit speaker proposals for our Smart Series and PROpel AVL GROW series. These monthly professional development programs are taught by members for members. Attendees are employees of Chamber members from a variety of industries and employee levels, from front line to owners.
About the PROpel AVL GROW Series:
GROW stands for “Get Ready for Opportunities at Work.” This series is designed to offer a variety of educational topics tailored to young professionals, providing inspiration in building their skill sets and goals towards career advancement.
About Smart Series:
In this educational series, members to share expertise and exchange ideas that enable business people to learn, grow and impact their business.
Proposal Requirements:
- Proposals can be for a topic you are passionate about AND that would be meaningful/helpful for business people/young professionals in their work.
- Presentations are typically 40 minutes plus 10 minutes Q&A.
- Successful presentations give specific, actionable information that business people or young professionals can apply to their work.
- No solicitation of products or services by the speaker.
- Program must advance the professionalism of members or young professionals.
- Content must be educational, meaningful and practical for the business community.
- Program must be delivered by someone with experience or expertise on the topic.
- Presenter is responsible for program materials distributed to attendees.
- Speaker should indicate equipment/technology needs.
