Membership
Make new friends and increase business—join the Chamber
Each member sees the value of Chamber membership a little differently.
For many entrepreneurs and smaller businesses, our regular get-togethers are crucial. These events include fun "before and after hours" networking opportunities, educational seminars and political updates. For many members, these are crucial opportunities for friendly interaction, getting involved and collaborating on a shared vision.
We also provide a great way to meet a diverse range of businesspeople and the Chamber helps bring companies together for lobbying and employment efforts.
Networking
One of the best ways to grow your business or organization is by networking, and we love partnering with our members to host frequent events. Business Before Hours and Business After Hours monthly soirées are well attended, with great food and libations.
More than 30 Chamber member business representatives gather weekly for professional networking. A quarterly member orientation at the Chamber helps orient members to all the offerings and activities of the Chamber.
Recognition
Celebrating our members is a great joy. Just some of the ways that we help recognize members in front of the community and publicize the accomplishments of the area's business community include the following recognition programs and functions: Entrepreneur of the Month, Sky High Growth Awards, Chamber's Annual Meeting and ribbon cuttings.
Research and Statistics
Leading economic experts provide local, state and national outlooks for our members, including predictions on the housing market, employment trends and retail sales. The Economic Development Coalition of Asheville-Buncombe County offers market research and an annual economic outlook publication and event.
Involvement with Chamber Councils, Committees and Task Forces
Want to meet other members who share your interests? Volunteer for one of the many Chamber groups working to make the Asheville area greater. Serving on a committee or as an ambassador with us provides two-way benefits. Volunteer your expertise and gain the value of new connections and skills from other members and staff.
Advocacy
A candidates’ forum and other governmental affairs activities keep you involved in the issues facing our community.
Increased Exposure and Tools for your Business
Place your brochures in our gorgeous Visitor Center, sponsor a special event or submit news stories to our weekly e-newsletter. Take advantage of the many publications we distribute by advertising in them. Put your message on our website.
