Constellations in 35below: Roland, a beekeeper, and Marianne, a physicist, meet at a barbecue and hit it off, or do they? Perhaps in one universe things will work out well for the couple, while simultaneously in another they won’t. Produced and directed by Jason Williams.The show runs June 2-18, 2017 with performances Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm in 35below. Auditions for The Producers: Auditions for the Mel Brooks’ musical The Producers will be held June 12-13, 2017 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Asheville Community Theatre. Auditions are open to all in the community, no previous experience required. Please prepare 16 bars of music and bring the sheet music to the audition in the key in which you will be singing. An accompanist will be provided. Directed by Jerry Crouch with musical direction by Lynda Shuler and choreography by Shari Azar. Storytelling series Listen to This:In the vein of “The Moth” or “This American Life,” Listen to This features stories and original songs from locals. June’s installment will be presented on June 29, 2017 at 7:30 pm in 35below. Hosted by Tom Chalmers.
