Bobby Scott Shoemake is new COO at Byrd HealthCare Group/Interim HealthCare

The Byrd HealthCare Group / Interim HealthCare of the Eastern Carolinas announced the appointment of Bobby Scott Shoemake as its Chief Operating Officer, according to Donna “Lou” Byrd, CEO and President of organization. 

Shoemake holds a MA in Health Policy from Duke University and a BS in Business Management from Mount Olive College. “Bobby brings over twenty-two years of impressive leadership in healthcare and is highly experienced in home healthcare and administration,” added Byrd.  “We are particularly pleased that he is returning to our team wherein he served as our Director of Business Development for three years in 2007.”  

Shoemake joins the organization after serving for the past four years as Chief Operating Officer/Administrator for a large multi-location home health agency in Virginia. Shoemake entered the profession in 1992 joining a home health and hospice care organization where he served in advancing positions of responsibility for fifteen years.  He has been active in the Association for Home and Hospice Care of North Carolina serving on several committees and has been recognized by various organizations for his leadership and contributions to the community.
