OVERVIEW
Magest Building Systems Limited (MBSL) has an exciting opportunity for a talented and energetic Site Supervisor to successfully oversee and execute all facets of 2 projects in North Carolina, including; project management strategies, estimating, construction schedule, project budget and cost, health and safety, team performance and effective client communications. Success is achieved by pro-actively managing projects from start-up through to completion in the highest quality manner, while keeping in constant communication with all parties throughout the duration of the
project.
The successful candidate will be thoroughly trained through hands on experience by an expert cold formed steel panelization installation specialist.
THE OPPORTUNITY
• Establish and foster strong business relationships with our valued clients, ensuring the highest levels
of satisfaction
• Update project budgets
• Conduct project estimating, including quantity take-offs
• Create construction schedules, and depending on project size, solicit input from the Site Manager
for construct-ability, staging and site logistics feedback
• Build a strong project team by providing effective direction, coaching and support to employees
• Review all drawings and specifications, specifically noting any special conditions or features
• Manage sub-contractor costs to meet or exceed target profitability
• Supervise tendering of sub-contractor work and prepare summary for the client, including
recommendations
• Liaise with the Site Manager to ensure project construction meets established time and budgetary
goals
• Utilize our PM software system to set-up the project, enter budget estimates and RFQs etc.
• Manage all project documentation including; permits and site notifications, pricing / approvals of
RFQ’s, Pos, Change Orders/Work orders
• Implement risk management actions to mitigate potential Health & Safety, Financial and legal
liabilities
• Manage project accounting, billings and receivables, including; project billings and sign-off,
subcontractor payment certificates, service/work order billings and client invoices
• Chair and minute Site meetings with the Client, Consultants, key client third party vendors and subtrade
PMs
• Build and maintain new client relationships with emerging designers and owner decision-makers
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Over 5 years of site supervisor experience in Commercial/Residential/Hospitality Construction
• Construction Management/CAD Technician diploma or degree/experience equivalent
• Experience estimating projects and preparing budgets
• Demonstrated ability to establish and build long lasting relationships with clients, designers,
subcontractors and peers
• Commitment to recognizing and mitigating project risks
• Understanding of applicable legislative and licensing requirements
• Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy, with strong negotiation and dispute resolution
skills
• Entrepreneurial with an interest in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities
• Tech savvy in Microsoft Office suite and project management software, AutoCAD and ability to
grasp new computer software
