Tell us about your business including an overview of products or services.

Maser Consulting is a full-service engineering firm that currently has 29 offices in 12 states including Charlotte and Raleigh. Charlotte, our second largest office, is a regional hub that is actively engaged in providing survey/geospatial, energy, right-of-way land services, environmental, ecological, and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE). We are currently developing a service line in the Asheville region to include survey, energy, GIS and municipal services.

How has your company grown over the years?

Maser Consulting has been growing quickly, especially over the past several years. This growth has enabled us to expand the types of services we offer to include core services like land survey, transportation and traffic, telecommunications, geotechnical/environmental, infrastructure, energy and a multitude of sub-services that are growing all the time. We’re always advancing the company through new technology including geospatial survey methods including terrestrial, mobile, and aerial (drone) LiDAR mapping, Geographic Information System (GIS), and SUE.

What is most important to your company now?

Our engineering activities are defined through our safety program. It is important that we ensure that every office engages in the same level of safety. The safety of our employees, the jobsite and the community are on the top of our list. We also feel that our service lines provide a valuable contribution to the community that gives us a personal sense of pride every time a project is completed successfully and safely.

What do you see as your company’s legacy?

The company was established in 1984 by Richard Maser who has served consistently and currently holds the position of Chairman and CEO. The firm’s culture began with his ideals and has endured all this time. Maser Consulting highly values its workforce and has always thought of its employees its best asset and as part of the Maser Family. We support one another in good times and in bad. We provide educational and training opportunities that are available to everyone for both personal and professional advancement.

What’s on the horizon?

We are planning to continue our growth within this region by adding services to expand each location organically. In every new region, it is our objective to provide services that are important to each community while creating jobs for people in these areas by hiring locally. It is also important to us to continue to maintain the firm’s positive internal environment throughout all office locations.
