Haywood County Chamber’s Women in Business is proud to present Ms. Suzanne DeFerie, CEO and President of Asheville Savings Bank. Born, raised and educated in Western North Carolina, Suzanne will share her journey as she entered banking and became the first female CEO of a bank in WNC.
She possesses exceptional experience, a strong backbone and feisty spark that speak to her strong mountain roots. Through her leadership, the bank converted from a mutual savings bank to a public stock savings bank last October.
In celebration of that momentous occasion, Suzanne was the first CEO from the Asheville area to ring the NASDAQ Stock Market Closing Bell in New York City. She will speak to women in leadership, effective networking, and steps to success.
